Tensile modulus is one of the measurement parameters of carbon fiber round tube, which refers to the ability of carbon fiber round tube to withstand tensile deformation, the tensile modulus of carbon fiber composite material is about 230/GPa, compared with other metal materials made of tubes, the tensile modulus of carbon fiber round tube is several times of them.
Next is the compression modulus, the compression modulus of carbon fiber round tube and resin performance, molding process have a great relationship, carbon fiber tube is cut from the carbon fiber prepreg in accordance with a certain angle layered, if you can carry out a reasonable design and layered, carbon fiber round tube can play a better mechanical performance advantages.
Bending modulus and bending strength reflect the ability of the material to resist bending. The bending modulus of elasticity of carbon fiber composites is 200/GPa and the bending strength is 1500/MPa, while metal materials like aluminum alloy and titanium alloy belong to the same strength of structural materials without bending strength, so carbon fiber round pipe for structural materials is far better than traditional metal pipe.
Shear strength refers to the ability of the material to withstand shear force, the shear strength of carbon fiber composite material is 150/MPa, the carbon fiber round tube made can well withstand the shear pressure, not easy to be damaged.
